I enjoy acute care medicine but am getting to enjoy the ins and outs of chrnoic conditions as well. My first love in medicine was emergency medicine and was allowed to work in the emergency room at Camp Lejeune for two and a half years in the late ‘70’s.
His Education:
I was born and raised in a small town in Colorado. After graduating from high school and attending one year of college, I joined the U.S. Navy. I was a hospital corpsman for 13 years, and then I went on to physician assistant school through the navy at Naval School of Health Sciences at San Diego for two years. I had tours at Marine Corps Logistics Base in Albany, Georgia, U.S. Naval Hospital in Roosevelt Roads, Puerto Rico, and the Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune in eastern North Carolina. When I retired from the navy, I worked in Robbinsville for six years before coming to the clinic here in Bryson City.
His Interests:
My hobbies include hunting (elk in Colorado), fishing (when I have the time), and doing cross stitch. Living in western North Carolina is a privilege and the daily drive from Andrews gets exciting at times, especially when the roads are icy.
