Practice Philosophy:
After beginning an exciting career working to discover new medicines for various diseases with large pharmaceutical companies, I felt called to work directly with people who hd the diseases and conditions I had been studying. It is such a privilege to get to know some of the people in this community and to work with them to optimize all aspects of their mental, physical, and emotional health. In Hendersonville, my wife and I started a support group for caretakers of children with ADHD which we enjoyed thoroughly. Here in Bryson City, it has been fascinating to serve a wide variety of patients in the clinic, the emergency room, the hospital, and the elders at Mountain View Manor.
Home Life:
My wife, Ann Edison (can you blame her for not wanting to take my 15 letter last name...) and I have been blessed with a wonderful family consisting of our 26 year old son, Matthew, our 13 year old daughter, Kiki, our 7 year old son, Kaleb, and our 3 year old joy, Teddy. We are overwhelmed with the natural beauty in this area and love to try new hiking trails. I visited my grandparent's farm in Pigeon Forge when Dollywood was called Rebel Railroad, so I have roots in this area, and as my wife has lovingly told me, we are not moving again.
